How to make a typing paper flower garden.

First make a variety of paper flowers like these.

paper flowers "planted" outdoors

Use colorful copy paper.  It is so much easier to fold and roll than construction paper.  You only need paper, scissors, and glue.

With small modifications  you can use construction paper, or even paper plates to make all these simple flowers.

I flip the fold inside out so that the petals are curved.

I cut the green stem paper into thirds and rolled it for the stems of all the flowers.

My flowers cut flower heads look like this:

Cut a few slits in one end of the stem and glue them to the flower heads.

The flowers and stems do not have to be good or have leaves. These will be picked by the kids.   They are quickly made. I used these for Easter Egg Hunts at church for five years now and no one got hurt. Think of the skewers as just tiny sticks.

Stick the pointed end of bamboo skewers in the ground. Forgive me for no outside photo-- it is dark outside.

Make groups of three or more for the best effect. Slide the paper flower stems over the sticks.

Hide eggs inside the paper flowers.  Scrunch up the paper as needed to keep eggs in place.

A little more Easter joy.
